Check In/ Check Out

SoCal Vacations would like to welcome you to your vacation rental.

Our goal is to make your check-in smooth and fast so you can get onto enjoying your vacation.

Please be sure to read our Guest Policies Page prior to your arrival.

When You Check-In

Check-in starts at 4 pm on the day of your arrival and Check-Out is at 10 am the day of your departure.

When you’re checking in for the property you booked, we require that you present your valid, unexpired photo ID and sign and agree to the City’s Good Neighbor Policy.

The Good Neighbor Policy can be found at the following link, please feel free to print it out and sign it prior to your arrival to help make your check-in move along a bit faster. And no worries if you don’t, we can print one for you and have you fill it out in our office.

Designated Representative

Sometimes you can’t check in yourself, we understand and have a process to have your Designated Representative check in on your behalf.

Designated Representative Requirements:

  • You must inform SoCal Vacations via phone call prior to your visit of the full name of your Designated Representative
  • Must be over the age of 24
  • Must be staying at the property for the duration of the short-term rental

During check-in, we will review important information with you or the designated representative who is checking in on your behalf.

To ensure a smooth check-in process, we require that the representative has a copy of the guest’s ID who actually booked the property. And that both the Guest and their Designated Representative have completed the Good Neighbor Policy form before arrival.

Noise Sensors

Please note that our properties are equipped with noise sensors, both inside and outside the home, as we strive to maintain a respectful and courteous environment for our neighbors. If excessive noise is detected, you will receive a text message asking to lower the volume. Offenses may result in fines from City Officials, up to and including eviction.

Water Capacity

Our homes are designed for single-family occupancy and have limited hot water capacity. To avoid running out of hot water, we recommend staggering shower times and using appliances such as the dishwasher and washing machine sparingly.

After the 2nd shower in a row, we advise you to wait 15-20 minutes between the 3rd, 4th, and subsequent showers.

Occupancy

Please be mindful of the maximum occupancy and vehicle limits for each property, as exceeding these limits may result in fines or eviction. Unfortunately, The City does not allow you to go over occupancy limits at any time during your stay, even for visitors.

Trash

Upon check-out, we kindly ask that you leave the home tidy by loading and starting the dishwasher (if provided) and taking any trash with you. (This is a City Ordinance that all guests must dispose of their trash upon leaving their short-term rental.)

Additionally, please be sure to dispose of trash at the designated locations (41790 Garstin Dr. or 39690 Big Bear Blvd) and have your rental agreement or reservation confirmation ready to show the attendant. To avoid long wait times, we recommend disposing of trash throughout your stay or the evening before check-out.

Home Issues

In case of emergency, please dial 911 and inform us as soon as possible.

For non-emergency maintenance requests, we will do our best to troubleshoot the issue over the phone and try to walk you through handling the issue. If the issue requires maintenance to come out, we will send them out.

After Hours Issues

We stop taking calls after 6 pm, but if anything goes awry with the home, text us as we still receive text messages.

If a small appliance breaks or stops working at midnight, please save that text for the following morning.

If the issue requires a specialist, that is something that we would need to schedule for the next day as these specialists (i.e., plumber or electrician) end their business hours at 5 pm.

Check-Out

Please let us know when you have checked out by 10 am on the day of departure. You can do this by either sending us a text message or by giving us a call.

If you do not let us know you are checking out on time, you could be subject to being charged for staying past your check-out.

Thank you for staying at SoCal Vacations, we look forward to seeing you when you visit again.
