The lodge sits on a half-acre, flat plot, surrounded by tall pines, promising privacy and tranquility.
It also features a large pull-through driveway, ample for off-street parking, and can even accommodate an RV or a boat.
Once you step outdoors, you're in for a treat. First off, there's our outdoor Jacuzzi. Perfect for winding down, it's just the spot to enjoy your favorite beverage while the jets work their magic.
Now, if you're into sports, we've got you covered. We've got a full-sized basketball court and a beach volleyball court right here, ready for some fun, family-friendly competition.
Not into intense sports? No worries. Try your hand at a game of horseshoes or cornhole, all without leaving the yard.
Then, when the day winds down and it's time to kick back, grab a good book and melt into a comfy chair on our wrap-around balcony, soaking up that crisp mountain air.

Guests’ Rules
Welcome to the rules for Silver Fox Resort. Our aim is to maintain a harmonious environment that aligns with local Code Compliance and respects the comfort of all guests. As part of this effort, we've established some friendly but firm and inflexible house guidelines.
- Maximum Occupancy: 16 guests (14 adults max).
- Parking: Space for 6 vehicles, including garage access. Exceeding the limit may result in fines of up to $1,000.
- Pets: No pets allowed. If this rule is violated, you will receive a minimum of a $1,000 fine and eviction.
- Check-In: Conducted at The Village Office for a warm welcome and local code compliance.
- Noise: Quiet hours from 10 pm to 7 am. You are not allowed to be outside, in a hot tub, play music or create any noise from inside of the residence that could be heard outside of the home. If these rules are violated, Code Enforcement could impose fines of up to $1,000 or eviction. (We have no control over Code Enforcement’s decisions.)
- Air Conditioning: None. Enjoy natural mountain breezes through open windows.
- Ants: Sometimes our ants can be a bit over-friendly. To keep these small visitors at bay, we suggest promptly cleaning up right after each meal and don’t leave food out. (We do use ant bait & ant traps… and the ants tend to look at those as snacks.)
- Trash: You are mandated by ordinance to dispose of your trash at the designated trash site. If you require assistance, we can arrange a pick-up service for a nominal fee.
- Video Surveillance & Noise Monitors: We employ external video surveillance and noise monitors at most of our properties. (We do not have video or audio monitoring inside of the residences.)
- No Smoking/Vaping: We have a very strict No Smoking and/ or No Vaping policy on the grounds of all of our properties.
- If any guest smokes or vapes on the premises during their stay, a minimum cleaning fee of $750 will be charged automatically to the Credit Card on file to cover the cost of carpets cleaning, dry cleaning of all bedspreads, curtains, etc. And the security deposit will be forfeited.
- Age: Minimum booking age is 24.
- Parties: No parties allowed; parties will result in immediate eviction and forfeiture of the security deposit. Additional cleaning fees may apply.
- Communication: For questions or concerns, we're available via phone or email.
Note: Code Enforcement enforces all of the ordinances in Big Bear Lake. We have no control over the decisions they make, up to and including fines and evictions.
Note: Any eviction, you will not be entitled to a refund.
Note: Based upon availability and to provide flexibility for our guests, we offer early check-in and late check-out options. There is a fee associated with this service. If you’d like to check in before the usual time, please inquire with front desk, as well for late check-out.

Great Family Trip
We had a great time with family and enjoyed the cabin to the fullest. Excellent location and very comfortable stay. The volleyball and basketball court were a plus and we enjoyed spending time with our kids.

This house is beautiful, clean, and spacious. The yard is very spacious. The house provided basket balls and volley balls. Great for big groups to spread out or be together. The main room; the open kitchen, dining, and living room area was the main hang out and worked perfectly for our big group. The jacuzzi was spacious, clean, and easy to use. I would rent this home again.

"This House was absolutely amazing. If you are bored while staying here, then you are not trying to have fun because there is so much to do here. We rented this house because my Wife wanted to do something outdoorsy while being chill for her 40th bday. This place checked all the boxes. While the house speaks for itself, I have to give a big Thanks to Star, who was the person I was in direct contact with. She went above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect. We had a plumbing issue where one of the showers was only super hot or super cold. I texted Star and she got in touch with the best plumber up there and from when I first texted her to when the plumber was finished with the job was an hour and a half. Thats Great Customer service if you ask me. My family and I will definitely be using SoCal rentals up in Big Bear again! Over all, My wife and all our guest loved the place. It was fully stoked with everything you need to have fun for you stay. If you're on the fence, Just do it!!! You won't regret you stay here, I know we didn't! Thanks again Star and SoCal Rentals!!!!"

Perfect for Large Family Trip
This house was perfect for our large family group...ranging from 2-70 year olds! The location is awesome--close to town and easy to get to. The house was very clean and had everything we needed. Property manager was very quick to respond and helpful. The house had a perfect layout for our family...awesome kitchen and great room area, plenty of space for everyone to be together, plenty of spaces to spread out to, and great options for bedrooms/beds for everyone! Nice large backyard with lots of options for outdoor fun. Would definitely recommend and hope to stay again!

Wonderful stay
We stayed here for Presidents' Day weekend. Close to snow summit and grocery stores. Check in was easy and very friendly service. House was immaculate. Plenty of towels and access to washer and dryer. Beds and bedding were clean and comfortable. Temperature in the house was just right. We'd love to book a stay here again.
Perfect for large family
We always have trouble finding a home large enough to accommodate all 15 of us…soon to be 16. This home was perfect. Lots of room for everyone and plenty of things to do without leaving home, volleyball and basketball courts, horseshoe pit, pool table, foosball, and huge driveway for kids to ride bikes. We would definitely stay here again!
House is very nice
The house is very nice and clean. Good location. Our family and friends of 14 were very comfortable. It had enough space to accommodate all of us and plenty of things to do in and outside of the house.
One of the best out of 8 years
Our 3 families have stayed in big Bear every new years for eight years now. This house has been the best yet. Beautifully stocked kitchen. Everything up to date. Great furniture, amenities. Close to everything. Very comfortable for 6 adults and 6 kids.
Fantastic Stay
The cabin was wonderful, and even exceeded our high expectations. It's the perfect cabin. The property manager was great and made everything easy. We really enjoyed our stay.
Family Snow Getaway
This property was everything and more as advertised in terms of comfort and fun for our family getaway to the snow. We were lucky it snowed prior to our visit and the backyard was perfect for snow play for young kids and grown ups alike. The upstairs area was great for cooking and hanging together. Very clean and beautifully decorated. 4 full bathrooms made it great and easy for all. Highly recommend!
