05 - Polar Bear Description

Welcome to Bear Suites - Village Inn (Polar Bear)

Your family will enjoy our one-of-a-kind lodge in the heart of the Big Bear Lake Village.

This downstairs unit is only accessible from the back of the lodge, right where the parking lot is! 

The full kitchen has everything you need to cook up your favorite meals. It also includes a gas fireplace. The close proximity to restaurants, Village Theater, coffee shops, shopping, a convenience store and the lake make this an ideal spot for your vacation. 

There is one bedroom with a King bed and the only bathroom is located in the bedroom. A futon in the living room provides additional sleeping space. No air conditioning, but who needs it with all that fresh mountain air?

Maximum occupancy is 2 people with up to 2 pets allowed (with $20 per pet policy).

This is an absolutely stellar location:
•    1.9 miles to Snow Summit Ski Resort
•    3.7 miles to Bear Mountain Snowboard Resort
•    2.3 miles to Vons & Stater Bros (our 2 local grocery stores)

For your piece of mind, we have cameras outside pointing at all entries.

 
* Parking Details:

A maximum of 1 vehicle may park on-site.

Per City Ordinance:

*On-street parking in front of the lodge is allowed.

*"During snow conditions, vehicles must not be left stopped, parked, abandoned or otherwise unattended on any street in the City."

* Checking In

Live check-ins are required for all our Big Bear homes and units. 
Upon arrival at Big Bear, our staff will meet you at our local SoCal Vacations office and provide your check-in details (5 min or less)

As part of our commitment to being good neighbors, occupancy limits and quiet hours (9pm-8am) are strictly enforced. No speakers or sound systems will be provided for use in our properties.

* Home Truths:

Welcome to your home away from home where you'll find all the comforts of your own place - plus a few extra rules!

* Pets must be approved in advance.

All pets are subject to an additional fee of $20 per pet.

* If undisclosed pets are brought into the unit without SoCal Vacations' approval:
There is a fine of $500 per pet, and forfeiture of the security deposit.

* No Events or Parties.

This is per City Ordinance and strictly enforced.
Violations will result in immediate eviction, forfeiture of security deposit and fines that can reach up to $10,000 per violation.
Code Enforcement Officers patrol rental areas and enforce these ordinances.

* No amplified sound is permitted outside at any time.
* Indoor sound cannot be loud enough to be audible at the property line.

This is per City Ordinance and City Code Enforcement Officers are not lenient.
Violation of any noise ordinances will be subject to fines that can reach up to $1,000 per violation.

* This is a smoke-free property (No smoking or vaping inside or outside, video monitoring enforcement.)

Violation of the no-smoking policy will result in forfeiture of the security deposit, a $950 smoking fee, and liability for any fire or property damage costs.

* Winter Weather Warning - From November 1st through April 30th, the California Department of Transportation requires all vehicles to carry chains.

Regardless, if it's snowing or not, vehicles are required to carry chains.
Regardless, if your vehicle is four-wheel drive or all-wheel drive, the California Department of Transportation still requires you to carry chains from Nov 1st through April 30th.

* This property does not have air conditioning (A/C).

* Vendors

As a reminder, we do work with 3rd party vendors to maintain the property, and although we adhere to the strictest CDC guidelines and advise all contractors to wear PPE equipment, we cannot always enforce. We strongly advise guests to please deny access if any vendors fail to meet and adhere to these standards.

* IDs will be requested for verification after booking.
