Parking
On-site parking at the property accommodates one vehicle.
According to city ordinance:
- Street parking directly in front of the lodge is permitted.
- However, during snowy conditions, you cannot park on the street.
- It's imperative to avoid leaving vehicles parked, stopped, abandoned, or unattended on any city street.
- There is a large Free Parking area located off of Bartlett, between Beaver Lane & Village Drive if you need additional parking.

Bear Suites Village Inn Rules
Welcome to the rules for Bear Suites Village Inn - American Black Bear Suite. Our aim is to maintain a harmonious environment that aligns with local Code Compliance and respects the comfort of all guests. As part of this effort, we've established some friendly but firm and inflexible house guidelines.
- Maximum Occupancy: 4 guests (4 adults max).
- Parking: Space for 1 vehicle. Exceeding the limit may result in fines of up to $1,000.
- Pets: Pets Allowed (Max: 2 pets).
- Pets require pre-approval: Post-approval, a $20 fee per pet applies (charged post-booking).
- Unapproved Pets: incur a minimum of a $1,000 fine.
- Pet Guidelines:
- Kennel pets when unattended.
- Keep off furniture/beds.
- Clean up after them.
- Charges apply for pet damages.
- Coyote Warning: Coyotes are extremely prevalent in Big Bear, even in the most densely populated areas. If you see one, you can bet they’re part of an unseen pack. These animals are bold and territorial. They pose a significant threat to pets. For their safety, never leave your pets unattended, even in fenced areas, especially after dark. Coyotes are known for their ability to overcome barriers, including high fences. And they’re even known for attacking pets that are on a leash. We cannot overstate the need for heightened vigilance concerning your pets' safety.
- Check-In: Conducted at The Village Office for a warm welcome and local code compliance.
- Noise: Quiet hours from 9 pm to 8 am. You are not allowed to be outside, in a hot tub, play music or create any noise from inside of the residence that could be heard outside of the home. If these rules are violated, Code Enforcement could impose fines of up to $1,000 or eviction. (We have no control over Code Enforcement’s decisions.)
- Air Conditioning: None. Enjoy natural mountain breezes through open windows.
- Ants: Sometimes our ants can be a bit over-friendly. To keep these small visitors at bay, we suggest promptly cleaning up right after each meal and don’t leave food out. (We do use ant bait & ant traps… and the ants tend to look at those as snacks.)
- Trash: You are mandated by ordinance to dispose of your trash at the designated trash site. If you require assistance, we can arrange a pick-up service for a nominal fee.
- Video Surveillance & Noise Monitors: We employ external video surveillance and noise monitors at most of our properties. (We do not have video or audio monitoring inside of the residences.)
- No Smoking/Vaping: We have a very strict No Smoking and/ or No Vaping policy on the grounds of all of our properties.
- If any guest smokes or vapes on the premises during their stay, a minimum cleaning fee of $750 will be charged automatically to the Credit Card on file to cover the cost of carpets cleaning, dry cleaning of all bedspreads, curtains, etc. And the security deposit will be forfeited.
- Age: Minimum booking age is 18.
- Parties: No parties allowed; parties will result in immediate eviction and forfeiture of the security deposit. Additional cleaning fees may apply.
- Communication: For questions or concerns, we're available via phone or email.
Note: Code Enforcement enforces all of the ordinances in Big Bear Lake. We have no control over the decisions they make, up to and including fines and evictions.
Note: Any eviction will result in the loss of your security deposit and you will not be entitled to a refund.
Note: Based upon availability and to provide flexibility for our guests, we offer early check-in and late check-out options. There is a fee associated with this service. If you’d like to check in before the usual time, please inquire with front desk, as well for late check-out.

Location was amazing. Layout was so cozy and made for a fun family getaway, we had fun in the snow, dinner than shopping around the cute village and ended the night inside watching movies. Better than we expected. Can’t wait to go back.

You cannot beat location/value on this place! It’s located on the Main Street in the village which was a treat. The place is super spacious as well and the host was very responsive. My friend and I literally planned a second trip to stay in this Airbnb while on this trip. We were to excited to share come back!

Quaint place; right in the middle of a lot of shops and restaurants which is great if that's what you'd like. Walking distance to a beach, and not too far from some hiking trails.

ADORABLE SPACE
Place is lovely, surrounded by lots of options for food and drinks, market near by, and the place is super cozy. Listing says one bed, there is a king bed in the bedroom and then a twin bed and futon bed in the living room. Fireplace was a nice touch as well.

Perfect weekend gateway! Located conveniently right in the village next to all the restaurants and shops. It's an older style Inn, but it's clean and had plenty beds to choose from. Definitely would stay again.

Perfect no-frills location for anyone who wants to be in the mix. This is literally in the Village (the street where all the shops and restaurants are). The unit we stayed at was upstairs, king bed, full kitchen and easy check in. We arrived after the office had closed but got the code to check in from a quick phone call. You can walk downstairs and walk to all the bars. Right below the unit is the office which was nice because we did not have to worry about disturbing downstairs neighbors overnight. There is also a place downstairs that sells boba. Not a luxury unit but great value, location, and communication. Felt safe and clean.

Great place in a great location. Literally IN the village of Big Bear. Only about 50 feet from bars, restaurants, and other stores. The space is pretty great too, it has a big TV, big bed, and a big common space. It also has great heating and a natural AC just by opening the window in the cold air lol.

Spent a weekend in August and it did not dissappoint.
Comfy bed, simple no frills but comfortable apartment right in the middle of down town. Summer august temp was mild, able to sleep with the windows open, they had an AC unit but I did not need to use it. walkable to lake rentals and downtown dining, excellent location, highly recommended.

We went to a friend's wedding really close to where we stayed. The Airbnb was adorable, cozy and just perfect. It's got all the basic things you would need even coffee which is a huge plus for me. Everything was clean. We even got to relax at the end of the night and watch Netflix. I would recommend this to a couple or for a party of 4. It totally gives me cabin vibes.

Amazing location, right in the middle of the village!
Lots of restaurants, bars, shops, you name it! The airbnb itself was everything it was described as, looks just like the photos and was very clean when we showed up. The host was also extremely responsive and answered any question I had promptly.

Convenient, clean location
This was a fantastic place to stay! It was clean and roomy. Checking in and out was fast and easy. The only concern would be that the kitchen only has the bare basics, so plan to bring your own things (spices, tools, etc) if you plan to do much cooking. This is not a problem for me as I was there quite briefly and ate dinner at Saucy Mamas next-door (Delicious!!) The location was super convenient, and it was nice to have parking right there.

This apt is right in the heart/walkable portion of Big Bear.
There are tons of shops, stores, restaurants and trails from your door. The parking spot was awesome. I was here for a trail running race and the apt was a two minute walk (1 block) from the start/ finish. There's a gas station nearby for water and snacks and a grocery store about a mile up the road. Great location, I would stay again. Host was very responsive and helpful because my flight got in late. The office is right downstairs so it was easy to pop in .
