View on The Rocks sits in the exclusive Castle Glen neighborhood. This neighborhood is wonderful to walk around and it’s a prime location for anyone who has ever wanted to in Big Bear Lake.

Guests’ Rules
Welcome to the rules for View on the Rocks Our aim is to maintain a harmonious environment that aligns with local Code Compliance and respects the comfort of all guests. As part of this effort, we've established some friendly but firm and inflexible house guidelines.
- Maximum Occupancy: 16 guests (11 adults max).
- Parking: Space for 5 vehicles, including garage access. Exceeding the limit may result in fines of up to $1,000.
- Pets: No pets allowed. If this rule is violated, you will receive a minimum of a $1,000 fine and eviction.
- Check-In: Conducted at The Village Office for a warm welcome and local code compliance.
- Noise: Quiet hours from 10 pm to 7 am. You are not allowed to be outside, in a hot tub, play music or create any noise from inside of the residence that could be heard outside of the home. If these rules are violated, Code Enforcement could impose fines of up to $1,000 or eviction. (We have no control over Code Enforcement’s decisions.)
- Air Conditioning: None. Enjoy natural mountain breezes through open windows.
- Ants: Sometimes our ants can be a bit over-friendly. To keep these small visitors at bay, we suggest promptly cleaning up right after each meal and don’t leave food out. (We do use ant bait & ant traps… and the ants tend to look at those as snacks.)
- Trash: You are mandated by ordinance to dispose of your trash at the designated trash site. If you require assistance, we can arrange a pick-up service for a nominal fee.
- Video Surveillance & Noise Monitors: We employ external video surveillance and noise monitors at most of our properties. (We do not have video or audio monitoring inside of the residences.)
- No Smoking/Vaping: We have a very strict No Smoking and/ or No Vaping policy on the grounds of all of our properties.
- If any guest smokes or vapes on the premises during their stay, a minimum cleaning fee of $750 will be charged automatically to the Credit Card on file to cover the cost of carpets cleaning, dry cleaning of all bedspreads, curtains, etc. And the security deposit will be forfeited.
- Age: Minimum booking age is 24.
- Parties: No parties allowed; parties will result in immediate eviction and forfeiture of the security deposit. Additional cleaning fees may apply.
- Communication: For questions or concerns, we're available via phone or email.
Note: Code Enforcement enforces all of the ordinances in Big Bear Lake. We have no control over the decisions they make, up to and including fines and evictions.
Note: Any eviction, you will not be entitled to a refund.
Note: Based upon availability and to provide flexibility for our guests, we offer early check-in and late check-out options. There is a fee associated with this service. If you’d like to check in before the usual time, please inquire with front desk, as well for late check-out.

Thanksgiving Dream
My husband and I decided to get away for Thanksgiving, and this was by far the BEST getaway and cabin stay in Big Bear we have had! This cabin was not only BEAUTIFUL, but it was quiet, clean, and comfortable!! It was in a dream location. It had everything we were looking for, beautiful views, cozy (everything....even the bath towels), everything worked (the jacuzzi, which can be rare). We enjoyed the bountiful fireplace, the comfy beds, the beautiful views, the quiet walks around the neighborhood, and cooking our Thanksgiving meal in the fully equipped kitchen. The check in process was easy and everyone was very nice! The owners of this cabin put personal touches and care into everything. We can't wait to return and enjoy another visit. Thank you to the owners for sharing your cabin with us!! My suggestion (NOT a complaint) to the owners, and I mean this in good fun, please label the light switches and leave directions how they work..lol...there are a lot of them and not regular switches. 🙂 Can't wait to visit again!!

The home was very nice and well maintained. If you like to cook you will appreciate all the kitchen tools. It was like being at home. The views from the porch and the spa made for a very relaxing stay. When I go back to Big Bear I'll be looking at staying here again.

Great place to stay!
Great place to stay for enjoying all Big Bear has to offer. Fully equipped kitchen and outdoor grill are a bonus. The balcony overlooking the valley (or if you prefer, the jacuzzi) is the perfect place for relaxing after a day of fun and activities.

Modern and elite neighborhood, fantastic view, hot tub in the pines, perfectly appointed, comfortable and close to everything a visitor could enjoy. A true home-away-from-home! Hats-off to the owners for making our stay a truly wonderful experience. We certainly intend to return.

"I stayed in View on the Rocks with my family over the summer and could not speak more highly of the experience. Conveniently close to downtown Big Bear, the cabin truly lives up to its name, with phenomenal views of the canyon and Bear Mountain Ski Resort from the living room, bedroom windows and back patio. We loved enjoying dinner and drinks al fresco with such a gorgeous backdrop! The bedrooms are comfortable and the kitchen is well-equipped, perfect for families with kids of all ages. The best part may have been the hot tub in the backyard - so relaxing to unwind with the stars above after a long day. We can't wait to take advantage during our next ski trip.

Location was gorgeous, the cabin was spacious and beautiful inside. We had everything we needed and it's just a short drive from the main city area. You also cannot beat the views on the deck. We loved our stay.

Such an amazing stay!! Was hosting a birthday weekend for my girlfriend, and the hosts are so accommodating and message back so quickly! Absolutely beautiful home, very open concept which is so nice. The views are hard to beat and not much lights around which makes it wonderful for seeing the stars at night as well! The hot tub has such an amazing view and setup! They have everything you need! So close to everything, max took us 15 minutes to drive to the village, but that was at worse due to traffic. So close to grocery stores and so many other things. Highly recommend! Thank you for everything, would love to use this company and property again!

Beautiful cabin & Scenery
My family loved our getaway at this beautiful cabin. We enjoyed the hot tub every night after the slopes & the warm showers & bathrooms made it even cozier. Love the open space in the kitchen & living room. What a luxurious getaway!

My wife and I had such a wonderful time at this property. It's comfortable and modern, yet still feels like a cozy cabin. The neighborhood feels upscale and safe, the house itself has all the modern conveniences you could want. It's located near all the fun activities: Skiing, Tubing, the Village, etc. The cherry on the top was all the Christmas lights, Decorations; including the Xmas Tree! That made the entire experience feel magical. We even took a dip in the hot tub in 30 degree weather with the view of snow covered mountains. SoCal Vacations is great with communication and the entire process was easy and smooth. We highly recommend and even talked about booking a trip here again in the summer.
